Our work on Dictyostelium KRas ubiquitination has been accepted to the Journal of Biological Chemistry!
We demonstrated that a cell has intrinsic system that recognize activated-KRas homologue to degrade via ubiquitin-pathway. This finding could be a basis for new approach to target KRas-mutated cancers.

Our collaborative work has been published in Journal of Biological Chemistry. The work shows that ubiquitination of HRas on Lys-117 accelerates GTP/GDP dissociation. We demonstrate that ubiquitination on specific sites on Ras functions as RasGEF by structural and biochemical analyses. Congrats, Kazu! |

Our collaborative work is published in Cell.
PI5P4K is a family of phosphoinositide kinases, regulating PI5P and PI(4,5)P2 balance at specific site in a cell. The genomic PI5P4Kbeta locus is found amplified in a subset of breast cancers. The work shows that PI5P4Kbeta regulates growth of breast cancer cells, which has impaired functional p53. |

Our work on Ras ubiquitination has published in Nature Structural Molecular Biology. This collaborative work with Dr. Sharon Campbell group has reveal structural significance of ubiquitinated Ras that decrease GTPases activity at some degree and interferes binding to RasGAP at significant degree. |
