|Natasha Kyprianou, Ph.D. is the James F. Hardymon Chair of Urologic Research
at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She is also a Professor of
Surgery/Urology, Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, Professor
of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Professor of Toxicology. Dr.
Kyprianou serves on the Urology Care Foundation Research Council and is chair
of the U.S. Department of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP)
Integration Panel. The PCRP is the second leading source of extramural
prostate cancer research funding in the U.S. Dr. Kyprianou's lab is focused on
the molecular mechanisms and cellular events in the impairment of transforming
growth in urologic tumors. The title of Dr. Kyprianou's seminar is "Targeting
the Androgen Receptor to Overcome Therapeutic Resistance to Taxanes in
Advanced Prostate Cancer"
